Academic Requirements
For a student to qualify for membership. They must meet the following requirements based on their major or degree progress.
Introductory Accounting Students
1. Current enrollment at USC as a full-time student. (12 units or more)
2. Current registration in BUAD 250a, 250b, or 305X with the intent of declaring a concentration in accounting, finance, or I / S.
3. Pledge cumulative GPA requirement of 3.00.
4. Maintain an major GPA (accounting, finance, or information systems) of 3.20 while achieving no lower than a B- in 250ab
Intermediate Accounting Majors (Declared)
1. Current enrollment at USC as a full-time student
2. Current registration in the ACCT 370s series
3. Pledge cumulative and accounting GPA requirements:
• Non-transfer students: 3.00 cumulative GPA and 3.20 GPA from BUAD 250ab
• Transfer students: 3.50 cumulative transfer and accounting transfer GPA, a 3.00 cumulative USC GPA.
4. Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.00 and an overall accounting GPA of 3.20 at USC after completing the pledge requirements.
Advanced Accounting Majors
1. Current enrollment at USC as a full-time student, unless this is your last semester prior to graduation.
2. Current registration in the 470s accounting courses.
3. Pledge cumulative GPA of 3.00 and accounting GPA of 3.20.
4. Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.00 and an overall accounting GPA of 3.20 at USC after completing the pledge requirements.
Finance / Information Systems Majors
1. Full-time enrollment at USC, unless this is your last semester prior to graduation.
2. Pledge cumulative requirement: 3.00 for all courses taken at USC, and major GPA requirement: 3.20
Transfer students: 3.50 cumulative GPA from coursework at previous university.
3. Members must maintain and minimum of a B- in all accounting course work.
4. Maintain a cumulative 3.00 GPA and 3.20 Major GPA throughout membership.
